This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 6th International Symposium on Spatial Databases, SSD'99, held in Hong Kong, China in July 1999.
The 17 revised full papers presented were carefully selected from 55 submissions. Also included are short papers corresponding to three invited talks and industrial applications presentations.
